Another weekend wasted - puttering, cleaning, cooking, running kids here and there. I feel like life is speeding by and I'm sitting still. I make suggestions for fun things to do but my husband is non-responsive. I feel weighted down by him & the kids - I want to run away. Have you ever felt like that? How do you get over it?
Dont' suggest divorce - I like my situation, I'm just in a rut.

well girl, change your tire, add some oil and get the hell out of that lane! what do you want to do? if hubby isn't willing to have fun, what's wrong with you having fun? do you have any girlfriends? go see a movie with them. i do the kiddie thing for most of the weekend, but i need some me time. i don't really have too many girlfriends and quite honestly, sometimes i have more fun on my own. i go to the gym for am hour or two. not only is it good for me, it makes me feel great and i meet new people there. i go window shopping and try on a bunch of stuff that i know i can't afford, but it's fum to just look at me in different stuff. i'll read and/or meditate, and i journal as well. mind you, i'm not saying this is what you need to do, but i know you need some "me" time. and you know the best part of it? my "other half" sees me feeling good and being happy doing my thing and not putting it on him, now he asks if i want to go to the movies, or out to dinner , or an amusement park!

You need to do somethings for yourself that will be uplifting emotinally and spiritually. Call it mom time. How about a visit to a spa? Or a weekend getaway by yourself or with some female freinds?

Become independant. Do the things you want to do by yourself. Of course, plan the process so no one will suffer from you taking time for yourself. That will be educational for your children, especially if you have girls. Women tend to sacrifice their life for the one they love. Men don't do that.

It's time for women/females to reverse the trend. It's time to be assertive and take the place we deserve in society. You are worth it.
