Shower with pine tar soap and rinse with a solution of 50% vinegar and 50% water. Do not blow dry your hair - pat dry and then brush it out.

Pine tar soap is often used by hunters before they go out to hunt - as it will remove most detergent smells from their bodies. It is also good for just about any skin problems you may have. Find it at lehmans see http://www.lehmans,com

Vinegar will neutralize just about any odor you can name. You could use it full strength, but that would be a whole heap of vinegar to rinse with - and then leave you smelling like a salad. Once you rinse with the 50/50 solution, do not rinse it off. It will keep working after you pat yourself dry.

Wash it,and shampoo 3 times instead of of 2 or 1. Use clarifying shampoo, or add a 1/2 tablespoon of baking soda to the shampoo in your hand each time you shampoo (do not use it if you color your hair red- it might change the tone).
It might foam, but it is not dangerous- hair dressers use it all the time.Rinse really well, then condition with any conditioner you normally use. Rinse the conditioner really well, then rinse your hair with a mixture of 1 gallon water and 1 cup apple cider vinegar. Do not rinse the vinegar- the smell of the vinegar will evaporate very fast- it's gone in 10-15 minutes. The vinegar will rinse any remnants of the smoke smell, and will make your hair super shiny.
Dry and style your hair as usual.

Well !
You got many answers but
I wash my dog with tomato juice to get the skunk smell out.
Try that and maybe a beer rinse. But myself I might find campfire smoke quite enjoyable.
As you please !
