Female drama - does it ever end? :)
When I was a teen, gossiping was a tool that we all used to be on top. Being the one with the "info" made you popular (and despised, if word got out that you were spreading the stuff). I was not into gossiping as much as listening to it, reveling in the information that I received. My fear of retaliation prevented me from passing on such information.
Think about our cultures (not just American women gossip) and see how television puts an effect on it too. Speaking for Americans, if you look at the young shows today, there is constant gossip in the script, in the headlines, about the actors, etc., etc. No wonder teens can't do without it. They think it is supposed to be a part of our culture, of what we do each day.
As we get older, the female drama tends to end, as you choose the women you decide to share your social life with. Unfortunately, some stay within the confines of that teenage lifestyle and continue the fervor of gossip, arguing and fighting, as it is something they thrive on; wanting to be the drama Queens of today since they aren't actors to be paid to do so. :) But most of us get tired of it, as it sucks our energy to the core and we have enough "crap" to deal with as it is.
So, from my point of view, yes females seem to enjoy the spirit of the drama more so than men; although my son (who is gay) thrives on it with the females he keeps company with. Every single day, he has drama stories to tell me about these young women. I don't know how he listens to it all without feeling a sense of his own energy draining. The never ending saga with no commercials.
When people find other more interesting things in life, they will cease to entertain others with drama and let the soap operas take their natural course to do so.

My freshmen year I did something horrible, I don't regret it, but it was bad. This guy I liked had a girlfriend, but that didn't stop me. So I was messing around with him. He told some guys he played football with about it and it got back to his girlfriend. Talk about drama. We got in a huge fight in the hallway hair pulling, scratching, punching all of that.
My junior year I got in an arguement with a guy during one of my classes. Well not thinking later I told my bf about it. Drama! He flipped out and beat the s**t out of that guy.
Also my junior year after a power puff football team we beat the senior. My friend and I were the last to leave the locker room. Well we walk out and 4 seniors are waiting for us. During the game we had some words and ripped some shirts. I couldn't get in anymore trouble so I tried walking away. This girl I hated kept pushing my buttons. I turned around and clocked her right in the face and the fight began in the gym.
My senior year I had been dating this guy for a long time. I found out her was cheating on me. He picked me up after school. I wouldn't get in the car. I was screaming at him making a scene. A few days later I saw the girl he cheated with in the parking lot at the mall. I couldn't help myself I went over there just to talk. It didn't work out. There was a brawl in the parking lot.
The drama has made me a violent person. I have a bad temper and it just pushes me over the edge.

I'm a woman, and most of my friends have always been men. I find men to be more straight-forward, confident, and honest in friendship. Women are passive-aggressive, manipulative, two-faced, jealous, and catty far too often in friendships. When guys have a problem with a friend, they duke it out and forget about it after a while. When women have a problem, they do everything they can to humiliate and emotionally hurt their (former) friend.
This is in general, but it's what I've thought.

I know that it never stops! I worked in a hair salon, and nursing home. It seemed just as bad, if not worse on the gossiping. That's why most of my friends are men. Because most girls seem coniving, and gossipy. I feel like when I tell a girl something, it's like speaking into a mega phone.

Humans are driven by insecurity. Jealous people and those who feel they have been wronged are those that gossip and create drama. Americans are competitive and we all have hoops to jump through. We are also very judgemental and hurtful. So basically we all live in a world of "walking wounded" and the likelyhood of it ever stopping is nonexistent.
Some people walk away from it and choose to be their own person and they are the happy ones who aren't effected by the drudgery of others.

Female drama is very interesting. Where guys say what they have to say, Girls hide it, say it behind other's backs and can't seem to get over a fight/argument very easily. Gossip is very popular with girls too. It seems girls are cursed with those things.

I am in a lesbian relationship and talk about DRAMA. We fight over the smallest things, go to work, come home and make up. It's very strange.
