A lot of agencies have special interest in specific genres like thrillers, or list them in the listing. But then at the don't respresent category in their listing, it's confusing, when they say no genre fiction. Can anyone clarify it for me, when they're interested and listed some genres, and then say they don't represent genre fiction as in other genres?

It may be because they're trying to follow the public's interest. If they see more SpecFic books on the Bestsellers list, they'll want more SpecFic books on the market. If you're a genre writer looking for a publisher, ask around at genre specific publishers first before going to all-around publishers.

Maybe they just don't like fantasy?
And it has to be a good fiction book that is barely fiction.
