Yes I have. I went from Indiana to Nashville Tennessee
It took about 12 hours
I met nice people but I was alone so I didn't talk to long to any of them
I took the bus because there were thunderstorms approaching and I was scared to fly then.

took the bus from North Carolina out to Phoenix Arizona, it seemed to take forever (actually we left thursday lunch and arrived Saturday afternoon), there were tons of stops and bus changes. didnt meet too many people as had a travel partner so we talked together. reason for taking the bus over flying, it was way cheaper. Would i do it again NO. Short distances ok long ones are too tiring

This story is going to be little long (oxymoron), but here goes: A friend of mine and I had no other option but to take a Greyhound on a very long trip...about 22 hours (I won't bore you with the details of why). We sneaked in a small amount of booze with us and that made it more enjoyable/tolerable. We finally made it to the back seat which is larger, tried to sleep, etc. After it got dark, my friend said that the driver was trying to flirt with me using his mirror. I just said "no way". We had a short stop/change over in a small town. When I was getting back on the bus, the driver (standing outside) tried to approach me verbally and I knew what my friend had said was true. I didn't mean to but I just started laughing (lack of sleep, booze, etc). Later, we had an hour layover in a major city so we went into the adjoining Burger King, got some coffee, and sat at a table. There was a middle aged guy that sat down at our table and started talking to us. I'm not putting him down in any way, but you could readily tell "the elevator didn't go to the top floor". Then he would go to another table and do the same. A woman walked down the aisle leaving the place and was talking to an imaginary person. When we heard our bus was boarding, the same guy insisted upon taking my baggage to the line of people waiting to board. At least, we were able to laugh at it all. When we finally reached our destination and got off the bus, I vowed never to go that way again. Funny but sad also.

I take the bus a lot from where I go to school in Guelph, to my hometown of Kingston. It take about 5 hours to drive there and a little more by bus depending if what route you take, direct or indirect (one goes straight there with minimal stops, the other makes a lot of stops). I usually have to do an hour wait in Toronto though. People don't really talk to you on the bus. And I didn't fly because it is cheaper and there is no airport from where I want to go to where I want to go.

first of all its cheaper then flying, I left Pennslvania and moved to Florida to live, it took us oh about 36 hours, It was me and my baby , We slept on the bus, It was roomy, We met some people that were nice, they were all traveling to the same spot we were, so, they have a tine tiny bathroom They stopped maybe like 2 times for a rest period and we stocked up on food and stuff, It was an experiance to remember

I took a greyhound a couple of times. Once from Boston to New York, once from New Mexico to Denver. Also from New York to New Jersey Shore. I once met a girl who was very nice and I will never forget her. It was my only affordable means of transportation

I rode a trailways bus once in Florida. It is a way for low income people to travel.Ft.Lauderdale to Naples and it was
about 1.5 hours. I would not reccomend getting to social
with anyone on a bus.

I did the Greyhound once, and never will again. The one I took had a lot of dirty, and skanky people on board. But, that was 20 years ago.

It depends on what bus, sometimes there are nice people sometimes there are assholes. Greyhound is a fine bus service.
