6 people will be hard to manage. because things do get volatile when the direction changes for the band.
dont do drugs or drink excessively as that kills the bands relationships really fast.
avoid groupies.
get advice from many sources.
agree on one person to be the spokesman for the band and everyone agree on what should be said by them (the singer is the best choice as they are seen as the front for the band).
play everywhere you can get it until you are known.
if an offer is too good to be true... it is.
be aware that any payments go 6 ways, so the money will not be good unless you make it to the big time. so it will cost you for a long time.
get a myspace account to share your songs.
be true to the vision you currently have.
