I think that it depends on whether, you can find enjoyment in what you do or not. In my case, the job that I do now is quite boring, but I have to look at the bigger picture and see what I will get out of it in the end. I am also my own boss, so I have to think about what is more important. I think that a person is lucky if they have a job that they enjoy and they feel good about going to it everyday. I just continue to do my best always..

I hate having to wake up early in the morning but once I get to work I have a great time. I work as a cleaner and my boss is like my best friend. We talk about everything and share each others problems. Most of our customers are great too, occasionally we have a customer who may need our help with more important things. Such as hospital appointments or help with shopping. I love the feeling of knowing that you are helping someone to live a more independent life. Of course we have some customers who are royal pains in the backside but the majority are cool.

Pain!! I have an absolute pinhead for a boss!! Truly I believe there are 10 y/o's who could do the job better than the joker I work for!!
It's very distressing to know that you could do your bosses job better than he can but due to office politics and the fact that I feel I shouldn't have to kiss anyones a*s and that my work should speak for itself. You get stuck in a rut.
Hope that's something along the lines of what you were looking for.

In my experience work is generally totally rubbish. I'm looking forward to the day when robots and computers do all our work for us, and we just live a life of recreation.
Before the above happens I think there is a way of making work more painless for more people, if consumers bought from companys whose employees were made happier at work and bought less from those that werent we might start getting somehwere in the future.

I used to really love my job and enjoyed coming to work, so it was a pleasure. Now there have been a lot of changes and my job sucks, so now it's a pain.

Here's how the Late Bertrand Russell, 20th century Philosopher summed up working life.
"Work is of two kinds: first, altering the position of matter at or near the earth's surface relatively to other such matter; second, telling other people to do so. The first kind is unpleasant and ill paid; the second is pleasant and highly paid. "
I Think he hit the nail on the head!

On my drive to work I start feeling sick. By the time I'm there I just can't stand the splitting headache and the shift hasn't even begun. At first everyone would tell me I was full of myself but my head truly ached. Stress from work caused me to getting sick. Shortly after a boss was fired my headaches haven't been back.
