I bought a Toledo from BabiesRUs. It's an umbrella fold one, lightweight, 3 positions, shopping basket underneath (although that is difficult to get to when it's in the lie back position as I guess they all are). Very easy to manoeuvre, came with the raincover. Another thing to look for is side panels to keep the wind out, which this one has AND a good overlap over the front where their knees bend over. If it's not there, they can get chaffed. It cost about £80 new BUT.....it was difficult to keep packing it in with everything else we needed when going to visit the grandparents 3hrs drive away (you know, in the boot with everything else you have to pack). At last, we went to the grandparents local ToysRUs and bought their own brand one "bruin" - exactly the same functions and accessories, just a different colour and not as big a brand. BUT we test drove it in store and it worked and felt exactly like the more expensive one!
Ironically, we never ever used it there!!! It sat, still tagged up, in their loft for 2 years and I recently sold it on ebay!! Ebay's a good place to find them. First do your research online and in shops as to what you want, then price them on ebay and any price comparison sites such as pricerunner or dealtime or kelkoo. I don't know the McLaren model, but I know the name and I'm guessing, it's got the same features as the two I've mentioned but at a much higher price!!! Oh...my son is 4.5 now and recently started school.....but my Toledo is still in the boot of the car and fits him should he be too tired to walk (or just lazy)!!!
Hope this helps.........Celine

Maclaren XT are fab, my son is massive, wearing size 5 years old when he was 2, it fit him comfortably width and length. If you buy the XT it should see you through. Also they are very strong and easy to push, it lastest right through and am using it for my daughter now! Some also have a pillow, sun visor and pockets everywhere! Good luck!

it is the only make of buggy i ever have used as a professional nanny-and maclarens doubles are great too.
i worked for families who started with something else and thenbought a maclaren,or i hated the one they had and they bought the single or double one for me and never went back!
i also have known of nannies to have their own one-they're very easily collapsed-one hand!plus if you really need to when the bus is full you can fold buggy, hold child of under 3 on hip and have shopping without too much bother, you can fit a wee bit of shopping in the basket underneath, it acts as balast on the bus!it fits in even tiny boots-my pal can fit hers and shopping in her tiny car boot.
naturally now i have my own children i also have a maclaren xt,and a double!Go for it i say!

Is your baby sitting up on it's own this young wow! Don't put a baby in a stroller until they can sit without falling over. A pram is better.

go to the mothercare website they usually have good links or boots.com. they may be able to help you. but from experience you need an umbrella pushchair that's light weight and can be used from birth or as you baby is older about 6 months, make sure you can collapse it properly with one hand as busy mother be able too. good luck.
