one that we used to do was where someone walks in with a tray full of things from around the house and every looks at it for about 30 seconds. then you pull the tray and then everyone gets paper and pencil and writes down everything that they can remember. you have to have like 30 items on the tray tho. but the person who can get the most wins and xmas prize or whatever you want

I played this game at a Christmas party once: Give everyone in the room a few pieces of mistletoe (like 3 or 4). Set a timer for 10 minutes. Everyone goes around the room and kisses as many people as they can, taking a piece of their mistletoe when they kiss them. The kisses can be on the cheek. The person who asks for the kiss gets the mistletoe. Whoever has the most mistletoe when the timer goes off wins!
We had a blast playing this, and it was a great excuse to get close to some people we wanted to know.
Have a great party!
Note: If you don't have mistletoe, you can use anything... small christmas ornaments, quarters, whatever you have available.

If you search for bowtie christmas party games on google or yahoo you should get to a bowtieproducts site that will give you 4 new original games that will help make your nite fun.
If links work in the answer blocks here's the link
http://www.bowtieproducts.com/christmas_...
there is also some party giving advice you may enjoy.
My wife and I made up the puzzles and many people really enjoy them.
The Sandys Christmas Carol story in which guests fill in the blank with Christmas Carols names might work best.
I hope they work out well for you

Hi...Good Luck with your party....If you go to familyfun.com you will find lots of links that can help you out with all kinds of ideas for your party ....You will obviously have to adapt for the ages of your guests...as it is geared at younger children.
One game would be to have teams: one girl at one end of the room and one boy at the other end of the room. One large tablespoon and one small Christmas ornament...the object is to have the girl or boy start walking towards the other with the ornament on the spoon and then switch and walk back....teams do this and the winning team gets a prize.
TWISTER is usually a hit once it gets rolling....Name that tune could be popular as they get to listen to only a few seconds of each song until someone can name it....you could use Christmas carols or modern music.
Pin the carrot on the snowman could be a game for one of your artisitic friends to create....all you'd need: 2 blank poster sheets, markers, a blindfold and a paper carrot to pin on...you could get creative and add paper decorations of trees, cotton "snow" , glitter stars etc...
Find the Thimble....An object is hidden and everyone looks for it.....Also....A Treasure Hunt could be fun...Team a Girl and a Boy and they search for specific items on a list....winning team gets a prize....the Dollar Store is a great place to buy prizes...or homemade goodies are great too.
Open up your mind and remember games you played as a child and then go with it....Have Fun

Movie scavenger hunt - play a Christmas movie (watch it first to find what you want to put on your list) and have a list of items/scenes for everyone to find throughout the movie (not too obvious of course), whoever finds the most wins a gift
play outside in the snow ((sledding, snowball fights, etc.) and come in for hot chocolate and cookies
The best way to make sure that it doesn't end up segregated is to make sure that it's a small group of friends that get along really well

7 minutes in heaven would be a fun game, but you could change it to 7 minutes under the mistletoe. =) Spin the bottle would also be fun.

Get a band! My kid is in one and plays, for next to nothing, at people's houses and school functions. Our wedding reception was a total flop because we only had recorded music! OMIGOD! My mom was right!
