Cleaning a Washer Dryer?

I have all this fluff etc getting on my clothes, I cleaned out what I thought was the problem, however it didn't work. How do I clean my washer / dryer? Its a Hotpoint Aquarius, WD440

It happens from the wash cycle, not the dryer.
