Why does a egg float in a glass of water with salt inside

from the scientific point of view

the egg takes up the space of the water, while having a lower overall density, ergo it floats on top

1.) the egg has a lot of fat in it
2). There is a teensy bit of air in the shell
3.) the salt content displaces the egg.

(like is the Great Salt Lake in utah, there is so much salt that a grown person can float)

Either the egg is bad or the the increased density of the salt-water combination is greater than the density of the egg

Salt water weighs more than fresh water and there is no salt in eggs and eggs are mostly water.

Salt water is more buoyant than regular water and therefore allows things to float much easier.

I don't know but I float in saltwater (in the ocean).
