Not sure of brand names, but When I buy my next one it is going to be one that already has the lights on...I HATE putting lights on the tree.

The one that looks the most real. When someone comes over and they say what a beautiful tree and then they comment on how good it smells. Make sure the branches are full and that there are quite a few of them. Also make sure that the color is a dark green, and that it isn't a 20 dollar special. I do have to say I got mine at a local Goodwill and am very happy with the way it looks and smells..ha ha. Have a great and merry Chhristmas!!!

In my opinion, the best is a fiber optic tree. I had one that lasted me a good almost 10 yrs yrs before the bulb burned out. It came with decorations but I felt that it didn't need any. But you could always add anything you wanted to it.
