I guess many will give you technical answer with definitions and links. but I will try to give you physical meaning of each as you asked for simple explanantion.
Windows: It is an operating system and by operating system means that it is the way to communicate your orders with machine. You ask computer to do something, computer understands it through operating system. Of course many other programs (you cam think programs as your different wishes, orders etc) can ask computer to do something but they all need to working with operating system. Windows is made by microsoft corporation. Since windows screen looks like many "window", it is called windows.
RAM/ROM: You can think of these as memory just like human brain. You give computer some order, it takes the task to memory and starts working.
Pentium 3/4: pentium is a type of processor. Processor mean where your order is executed. Say like kitchen. You ask to cook and in the kitched cooking starts. Now, 3, 4 are just the model numbers. Everyday technology is improving. So, each model comes with more capacity. Pentium 4 can do things faster than pentium 3. So, each modern processor continously increasing its capacity to do things fast. You will often see its speed expressed as GHz(giga hertz). pentium 4 with 2 GHZ will be faster than penium 4 1GHz.
