If you read the test after the time limit stated in the instructions, you could have been seeing what's called an "evaporation line". This can look like a positive test but in fact it is not.

You will NEVER get a false positive with a home pregnancy test. The test will NEVER tell you that you are pregnant if you are not.
In order to test positive, you HAVE to have the hormone HCG in your blood or urine stream for the test to detect it. It is ONLY found in pregnant women.
You will get a false negative with one.
You may have read the test wrong or you may be pregnant and on your second test, tested when you had very little HCG in your urine. (Peeing frequently) or the second test may have been faulty.
The best way to find out is to go to your doctor and have a blood test done to rule out or confirm a pregnancy.

.have you started you period yet?? i know a friend of mine had all the pregnancy symptoms but when she took the pregnancy test it came out negative. a week later she lost the baby she was already five weeks along when she took the fetus to the doctor, but by the time she took the test the fetus was no longer attached to the uterine wall, which is why the test came out negative

take another one. A friend of mine took 4 and all were negative. she went to the dr. and got a positive one. You can never be too sure with those tests

im no expert at this but ... maybe the test was a little confused ..
i mean ... did u take the test right after u had sex?
or maybe ur second test was faulty ...

Did you miss oyur period? Test can be wrong, but if you want to be sure talk to your doctor. Its the best way to know. both test are good ones to take..
