Nothing happens until something is sold. Marketing is the means by which things are sold. Some people confuse marketing and sales. Sales is part of marketing and the sale is the ultimate goal, but they are different. Marketing involves all the psychology and attributes needed to get a product or service to the market and into the consumers hands. It is probably the most important part of business. Marketing involves research, advertising and sales. Most of your top executives come from a marketing background.

I think I eat and breath Marketing all mylife. From customer service, sales, telemarketing, product development, promotional activities, CRM you name it I think I have done it. I simply luv it but you must have the energy to sustain this passion & to make matter worse if the product you are marketing is constantly changing i.e. FMCG products so your product or technical know how must be uptodate as well, in order for you to keep up with the competition.
Marketing is the most important if not powerful asset to an organisation. Marketing is a mix of P's from - Product ,price, Placement ,promotion , people , process & phisical evidence.
U basically get exposure to test out both your soft and hard skills. Which not likely to be found in another profession.
In an organisation if they want to retrench anyone, Mktg ppl is always the last option as they are the team that (supposedly) generate income for the company.
Anything I dont like? do you mean related to Mktg? I guess it will be the process & people as Mktg do not own the process therefore we do not have a process workflow. BUT what Mktg have are dependencies i.e. you would need to depend on the processing unit team to process the applications for credit card or else you wont be able to achieve your results.
As you know the People - P (not only in Marketing) is the hardest to master for any organisation.

Well for me it is how I make money. I market a product, which I have the freedom and choice on how I will market my product. I can get creative or sometimes I choose to follow the old school of marketing depending on when, where, who a lot of different equations but I do enjoy it. The great part about my product is all that I have to do is market it, if I only want to. I have a call center that does the selling for me and the closing and even the shipping and handling of my product. I don't have to talk to no one if I don't want to. Most of the marketing I do can be done on the net. Even placing ads in the news paper. So there you go freedom and creativity=$. But GOOD LUCK ON YOUR JOURNEY WHEREVER LIFE TAKES YOU!!!

Penny stocks are loosely categorized companies with share prices of below $5 and with market caps of under $200 million. They are sometimes referred to as "the slot machines of the equity market" because of the money involved. There may be a good place for penny stocks in the portfolio of an experienced, advanced investor, however, if you follow this guide you will learn the most efficient strategies https://tr.im/ed075

Marketing: A set of processes for creating, communicating, and delivering value to customers and for managing customer relationships in ways that benefit the organization and its stakeholders.
To me the true challenge I enjoy is the communication. How do you say what you do to make others believe it and pay the most for it? Then, once they have paid as much as you can get for it, how do you get them to do it over and over again?
Whether it is PR, seminars, brochures, search engine optimization, or other strategies. It is problem solving, even when it is not a real problem, so to speak. It is like a puzzle and if you solve it, or get pretty close, you get paid more.

Why do I like marketing ?
I like it because you think freely, i.e unstructured thinking, not like boring accounting, it is a very challenging and demanding job !
Thats why many resent it !

Why I like Marketing, I understand it and I'm good at it. (I don't understand many things and I'm not good at very many things either).

Some apples!(I was gonna say a fat pig, but after watching Weird Foods and seeing the roast suckling pig and wanting to cry, I'll go with the apples.)

Who said I liked it? Its a blight on society and its a parasitic enterprise feeding off people who actually do something worthwhile in life.
