If the water is safe for humans to swim in, it should be fine for your iggy.

Ok first of all you dont want to do that. There is a small amount of chlorine in all water. that amount is safe but a swimming pool?? Not a good idea. becasue it is more concentrated it will have a nasty effect on it, not only is their skin more sensitive, but if they happen to drink the water that is in the pool which would be a likely bet. And what happend to your firends Iguana anyways??? But if you want you iguana to be able to swim, make a small pool out of say a tote, or underbed storage tote (depending on how big your iguana is) that you can put a small amount of water in, about up to their belly. or you can just put them in the bath tub with the same abount of water. But make sure you clean it afterwards very thoughly. Thats what i usually do with mine. Good Luck.

It would definatly harm him. The chlorine most likely wouldnt kill him right away, but it would make him sick. I have heard of people putting their igs in a saltwater pool, but they don't have as many chemicals. I would definatly not reccomend it.
Many ig owners accidentally expose their igs to chemicals, and then a year later their ig 'suddenly' dies of 'unknown' causes.

I've had a pool for years and humans only. I've had snakes frogs and mega insects in there they all die. If the chlorine is to high it's not even good for you

Did you ever see it in the pool or did they just tell you it got in the pool? All reptiles have very porus skin, they absorb everything. You should not even handle them unless your hands have been cleaned with mild antibacterial soap, everytime you touch them and before you touch the food they will be eating.

hell sure there is hazard on your cats however referred to as tame iggys attack a human and can definately do harm so a wild iggy will shurely have the flexibility to wreck a small cat the two via biting and scratching or the wild whip of a tail
