It depend to a lot of factors from "Nothing and even Complaint against a bad taxi driver to $150 to excellent one!
1- It depend how cab derive act
2- Some cabi are rude and their cab is dirty and they do not care about customer, smoke and listen to none standard music. So these kind of taxi drivers, they don't make too much money from tips, and they may get complaint and lose their license.
3- Taxi is a 'business property' it is not 'private property' that taxi driver can do whatever he/she likes to do.
4- In Toronto, we have a lot of good taxi drivers, their taxi are very clean and they were clean dress and mostly are well shaved
5- Most of Toronto taxi drivers, they don't push meter as soon as a customer step in cab and they take the SHORTEST way to detentions;
6- They mostly don;t talk and don't interfere with the customers business and in most Taxi in Toronto "Smoking is NOT allowed".
7- They help to customers to load and unload lageages
THE MOST important MISTAKE that many Taxi drivers makes is that they Think the "Tip" is their 'Rights'!
NO! It is not true. TIP always is a privilege that a service provider may get, that all these "IF"
IF,
IF,
IF,
be satisfactory be answered by the Taxi Drver or any other service providers!

It depends if he helps you with anything, and if he's good-looking. If he is hott, then i'd tip him right back in that seat, and give him what he deserves, a little wetness... lol never been in a cab though, soooo!!!

Tips should always be 20% - or the minimum of $2. If you had him carry any luggage, you should usually add $1 a bag : )
