What do I need to do to be considered a resident of Puerto Rico?
How long do I have to live there before I am considered a resident?
I am living in California but I am planning on moving to Puerto Rico and I need to know this for the University I will be attending.

You need to live there. To be a resident you will need to get a place to live, place to work and prove you are there. I am not sure of the time frame though.

They should be able to tell you. It is normally one year but some places allow less time. If they do not know it sounds wierd.
