They'll be nice one minute, then ignore you the next. Then cuss at you, then be like, "I like your hair today." I'm talking about boys inhe 14-16 age range. What's up with them?

Most adolescents are like that. It's the rush of hormones sent into the body at the time of puberty (pre-teen and teen years). It's very normal (but not very nice).

There is this little hormone called testosterone. It does very strange things to boys in that age range. They are moving from that "Don't like girls, prefer football" stage to the "Hello babe" stage, are are often not quite sure which side of the fence they are on.

The real answer is that boys didnt love girls, boys like themself, & to fullfil the lovs they need you, but the next hour they dont need you more.
( this is a deep answer, what you maybe need to think a little to understend this)

i dont do that. if a girl i actually think is annoying keeps hitting on me i will give her the cold shoulder but thats about it.
but if its a nice girl who i dont mind then i respect her.
