I'm guessing you mean 3 feet by 1 foot by 1 foot, right?
I've never heard of those dimensions before, is it possible that it's 18 inches high? If so, that's a 33 gallon (long) tank, which holds 124 litres.
If it IS 3 x 1 x 1, then that's 85 litres.

Also, if this is your first tank, or if you aren't aware of the nitrogen cycle, I've included a very helpful link. It is imperative to your fishes' health.

If it really IS 3 inches by 1 inch by 1 inch, it's too small for any fish, including a betta.

First you need to find out the cubic feet of the area that will contain water. This is cubic feet not inches. Length times Depth (front to back) times Height (L x D x H) for this aquarium: 4' x 1' x 1.5' = 6 cubic feet . Each cubic foot holds 7.5 gallons of water. Therefore 6 x 7.5 = 45 gallons. L' x D' x H' x 7.5 = total gallons Enjoy your tank

I will assume you mean 1 foot by 1 foot by 3 feet, if you measure it in Centimetres then times the length by the width by the depth, Divide by 1000, this will give you the capacity in Litres.

That's one tiny tank!

The standard rule is one fish per gallon of water, but you'll only fit a couple of spoonfuls of water in there.

I think you've got your dimensions wrong. You put the symbol for inches in instead of feet. However, try going to www.thinkfish.co.uk and they will give you all the help you need.

Such a small tank. You won't get any water in there oonce you've squeezed the fish into it.
