they arent really rivals but i did remember washington being blown up a couple years back by nj
if anything else, the celtics are nj's rivals

I don't follow basketball, but if they aren't really rivals, then maybe it was more of a territorial based thing. That, or there was no one else for those teams to be rivals with.

Well the Nets and Wiz are old ABA teams and Washington used to be the Baltimore Bullets, and they are still very close geographically.
