Yes! But not without practicing. If you do it without warming up or practice them there is a big chance that you will REALLY hurt yourself. Go to a dance class to get lessons. I taught my self to stand enpointe (on your toes) when i was little. Just be careful!

No. You can not even stand on your toes in ballet slippers. You need pointe shoes. In order to be able to study pointe you need to have had study ballet for many, many years and your dance teacher will need to evaulate you to see if you are ready to study pointe. I hope that I helped you out.

Yeah, you don't need ballet slippers just to stand on your toes. That's like asking if you need pre made mix to bake a cake. It'll be harder but you can still do it.

properly, the point of pointe shoes is the shank! they're the failings that keep the shoe jointly and carry your arch in structure, without it, the shoe falls aside. yet wait, you suggested the board the position the ft are. One situation, there is no longer a board there, its stiffened plaster and cotton. No easily board, till it has a cushion. you assert you're literally not a dancer. I strongly advise adverse to no longer donning those to the promenade; you imagine they offer the impact of being cool, yet they're equipment, used through severe dancers, they don't seem to play round with. you want to were experienced and advance your muscle mass for Years in the previous you are able to positioned a pair on. it ought to damage your ft and legs soooo badly in case you position them on improperly or do not comprehend what you're doing. you should land up with damaged ft, ankles, achilles tendon(which in certain situations would not heal) and extra, all of that's really tricky to revive. Plus, pointe shoes are under no circumstances tender, fantastically in case you purchase the right length. you spot, pointe shoes purely fit right in the adventure that they are 2 sizes smaller than your foot because they want to slot so tightly. they're uncomfortable for even the most experienced of dancers, and also you received't have an outstanding time on promenade once you've blisters throughout your ft, heels and your ankles swell. believe me, it should not be relaxing.

It is possible to stand on your toes without pointe shoes, but it is really, REALLY painful because it squashes your toes, best not to try it....

Well you can with Irish dance shoes, and I know some people who can walk on their toes, barefoot, on tile. It's crazy, i know, but it's true.

Yeah, of course it is. It is probably just a little bit more painful, though, and requires a great amount of skill to do it properly.

Yes... the less you weigh, the easier it is. Some strength, some balance, you can do it with bare feet. Remember to cut your toenails.
