Paternity must be proven by a paternity test to show that you contributed to the DNA or not.

No. Polygraphs are not admissible in any court. However, they are still used in some cases to determine if a suspect should still be looked at and further investigated, or let go and begin looking elsewhere. There is a new truth detector now called a Vocal Chord Stress Analysis or VCSA, that is MUCH harder to beat than the old polygraph tests. The best way to determine paternity is DNA or blood testing. You may truly believe you are not the father of child when in fact you are.

Paternity is determined through a paternity test! What does a polographh test have to do with it? And I don't think Polygraph tests are allowed in any courts. They are unreliable.
