2 Snowdon Terrace,
off Castle Street,
Netherfield Road,
Everton.

My great-great-grandfather lived at that address in 1863 and I would like to locate it when I am next in Liverpool

Hello everybody [except LimeyNotLime] Read my lips. Five generations back is before the American Civil War. Postcodes and Google and Liverpool Council and Satnav came just a tad later.

1853 directory shows a Snowdon Street but no Snowdon Terrace in Liverpool. I also cannot find a Castle Street near Netherfield Road ( north or South)

Try looking it up on royalmail.com. Though the actual house is likely to have been demolished. In the late 1800s a lot of terraced housing was replaced.

try getting a bus to the city centre main bus station, theres a tourist info place there, they'll put you on the right bus, it'll inly be a 10 minute ride, and you should get directions, dont forget if you get to goodison park fc, you're in everton!

You may want to try mapquest. It will show you where the house is if it is on their site.
