Yes. There is every possibility of China turning out to be a Super Power. But as Indian we should feel proud and happy about the fact that India is also heel-to-heel and neck-to-neck with China for claiming its barth in the vehicle of Super Power.
If we're to believe the Western Economists, particularly the American Econimists and Sociologists, then the Centre of Power is likely to move from U. S. A to China and India by 2020 A. D. The US economy will collapse, the Stock Exchanges will be busted. They have also predicted the chance of India to be greater than China because India is the largest democracy of the world whereas China is still looming under Communist regime. The outside nations cannot get free access to the State Data to assess its real strength. Moreover, China is trying to control the World Economy and its balance of trade on its own hypothetical, superficial and abnormal terms. When the big business houses and MNCs find out India with greater buying and spending power then will discard China in no time and flock towards India. Dumping of cheap goods, with huge state subsidies, to other Countries to destroy its economy is also a very bad and suicidal policy adopted by China. Last year garments, lingeries and other apparrels valued millions of dollars were rejected by the European Countries and not claimed by the consignees, who ordered those, from the local Port and left to be unclaimed and destroyed. At that time Indian textile traders got a very good start to market their products at a higher price than initially offered by Chinese traders.
Don't worry in the Super Power Lobby also Hindi-Chini would be Bhai Bhai.

More than liklely.
They are the up and coming economic power house. They also have the military might to back up their stance.
They are a changing communist/socialist state that now has a few elements of capitalism. This is a slow transistion, and will probably take a couple of decades.
Some say China will collapse, but seems unlikely at this point. With it's military infrastructure and vast world investments, it really has nowhere to go but up, despite the millions that are starving. After all the US has it's fair share of poor and starving but it hasn't kept us from being a super power.
It will be interesting to see another power on the block again. With luck, it may have a positive effect on US foriegn policy.

No... In order to be a successful superpower, the country has to enable it's people. Socialism will never allow that. Many people in America are afraid that China will monopolize our manufacturing market, and then jack our prices way up as a way to hurt America. This can't happen because of one thing: Communism. In order for China to be a successful superpower, they have to have people buying their products. Right now, America is the only country that can afford to buy Chinese goods the way we do. If the Chinese people could buy their own goods, then we might be in trouble, but Communism will not allow that. Instead, the Chinese government is getting rich off of America, while the Chinese people are remaining poor. As a result, the Chinese people will never be able to keep the Chinese marketplace in business, and as a result, China is stuck keeping our prices reasonable. If they were to jack the prices up to screw us, China would be out of business really quickly. While they are taking in a bunch of money right now, they will not be able to reach superpower status.

They 're fairly appearing like one, what with sending all distant places information journalists out of Tibet, so they are able to't witness the human abuse that their hundreds of troops would injure or worse kill to smother the independence of Tibet that protestors have been peacefully protesting, until eventually the chinese language Police & military created a difficulty. Plus the government is likewise cracking down on distant places information comments promptly from Beijing China the place they have been assume to have freedom to head approximately fairly . So it particularly is the recent & more suitable China whose information superhighway hosting the Olympics this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days? Tisk Tisk consistent with hazard chinese language products & nutrients are not the only factor the worldwide could Boycott? consistent with hazard the Olympic video games too? in the event that they are or are going to be the subsequent large skill, is that a solid or undesirable factor? I say no longer so solid.

China is already considered a superpower, and it's one to watch out for because of it's past history with communism. China has the strongest manned armed forces and aslo has a strong foothold on nuclear technlology with surpasses even the United States.

The US is on top of the list, but China already is a superpower. They control many of the world's events, well under the radar. Why do you think China is so well courted? Have you tended to your lessons in Mandarin yet?

It's either going to be China or India. Despite communism, the Chinese middle class has been growing exponentially. They've gone from almost noone owning a car to millions and millions of people buying them to the point where they can't manufacture them fast enough. Industry is exploding over there and the average salary keeps doubling. India is doing the same, but I think they have the edge because they allow private enterprise over there and there are fewer government restrictions on businesses.

Good Morning time to wake up
China is the only Superpower at this point. More than 1/2 of all mortgages in America are held by the Bank of China.
Every dollar you spend at WallyWorld goes to the Chinese American trade deficit. Your credit card debt is backed by your home and your mortgage is owned by China.
All your base are belong to us.

Yes but they will be balanced out by Russia, Europe, the US and maybe even India which will hopefully lead to a more balanced, peaceful World without the US being able to invade the Middle East and slaughter impoverished peoples so they can drive around in great big gas guzzling cars stuffing their faces with hamburgers.

No, its massive population and rampant starvation and poverty will most likely cause it to collapse into itself before becoming a super power
