Making Donna Brazile his Campaign Manager. It was her first Campaign Manager position and her win/loss record working in other campaigns has not been impressive. He needed someone more experienced, with a winning track record and tougher.

I also think Joe Lieberman as a running mate was a terrible choice.

He would have gotten more votes had he let Clinton campaign for him. He didn't want Clinton to overshadow him. He won the 2000 election anyways.

Letting his message be defined by his opponents, and by the so-called "liberal media" that hounded him over every little thing while giving Bush a free pass.

Not trying to distinguish himself more from Bush, whom he allowed to run as a bogus moderate.

Not bringing Bill Clinton in to campaign for him, at least in Arkansas.

Taking his home state for granted.

his biggest mistake was his determination to distance himself from bill clinton. had he not done that he could have taken tennessee and probably arkansas too. there was a lot of hullabaloo about the monica lewinsky thing around that time and i think he was trying to avoid all that.

he also had absolutely zero charisma.
