I don't know whether you put this question in here just to know what others think or b'cas you really feel that way. Whatever... I have 3 quotes to write here, which I believe in 100%...

1. Hope never abandons you, you abandon it.- George Weinberg.

2. Most of the important things in this world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.-

Whatever, sustain hope, even when you loose everything else...b'cas

3.Hope is the physician of each misery- some Proverb

For a person who is feeling that way, there is none.

UNLESS... the person fell into their despair as a result of desiring to gain a greater understanding of the human psyche.

In this case, the point would be to learn from the experience.

And the goal should be to discover an effective way to raise oneself up to a place where one has some hope that things can get better.

What I've learned in my 54 years on this earth is that the problems we face in life are not the problem - it's our perception of our problems (and how to deal with them) that so often threatens to completely trip us up.

That said, I believe that there is ALWAYS hope. Even when things SEEM hopeless (there's that perception thing again), I believe there is real reason to hope.

So much of life is a mystery. I believe the true essence of life is not comprised of what we can see and/or feel. I think that's one of the reasons why our own limited perceptions can trip us up if that's all we're relying on to get us through the difficult situations we all face.

I'm not saying I've never felt the way you seem to be feeling. I believe we go through times in our lives where we just question if we have the strength to continue to hang in there. I believe the great majority of us make it through these difficult times, as we discover that we are much, much stronger than we realize.

Years ago, during a period that threatened to really take me down, I realized that things WOULD get better - and that there were good things in store for me. If I killed myself, I would miss those good times (not to mention break the hearts of those who love me). After all I had been through, there was no way I was going to miss the good stuff.

Never give up. Never. Hang on to hope even when there doesn't seem to be any reason to. Just hang on to it anyway. When you least expect it, things can change for the better.

There should always be hope, if only because of lifes uncertainties. A famous guy, whose name escapes me, once said something about the darkest moment being just before dawn, and life can always hold that unknown and unforeseen miracle just around the corner. If things set too bad, see a psycho-analyst, asa often we mis-deal with things in life, and can become trapped in the same old arguments with ourselves, whilst an external influence can give a nrew perspective.
Good luck.

Is there supposed to be a point in living?, that is brainwashing from both our society and egos.

When the scenery looks boring, when life seems hopeless, you need to stop your mind and narrow your focus. Each moment of life, taken one by one is beautiful. To just breath in one slow breath is a luxury. To take a minute and look at a beautiful thing, to hear beautiful music. To feel the sun on your face, the wind in your hair. All these moments are priceless gifts of life.

"every passing moment is a chance to turn it all around"...something like that from Vanilla Sky.
In other words, as long as you are living there is always a chance to make things better.
If you are hopless you succumbed to your woes...but, there is an answer to every problem...you just have to find it.
Never quit on yourself...life is worth living IF you Make IT worth living (hoping the hope returns)

Maybe this will help

HOPE BUTTERFLIES ARE ON THEIR WAY

When you buy seeds of flowers,
can only guess its beauty,
With first bud your heart starts racing ,
The birth of a beautiful baby.
It blossoms, smelling world.

You water it, like always.
Protect it from predators
you are human, not perfect.

Your baby feel incomplete, not loved
So she doubts her abilities, its beauty.
Maybe she learned different language.
Maybe now its to late.

Only way left is hope,
hope it realize soon,
Beauty is hidden inside,
hope butterflies are on there way .

Hope is in your attitude and in your mind. If you think there is no hope then there isn't but if you believe that tomorrow can be a different day then you will always find hope.
