That's a great question, especially since none of these celebrities have their own, unique scent. They all wear whatever perfumes are already on the market.
I agree with a previous answerer. There is money in the world that they don't have, and they want it. Just once I want to see some honest celebrity put their name on a perfume called GREED.

Because it's yet another way to make more money and build their empire.

Some do, but the ones that don't, the ones that are already getting over exposed will eventually end up like Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

its a tool used for marketing. marketers figure if you see a celebrity that claims to have designed a perfume you will buy it because you like their style

they just want more money and fame..the only ones that actually smell nice are sarah jessica parker's lovely and the new hilary duff one.
