I think it's a combination of both...but more plain white for sure!!!
if its another color than milky and plain white.........U BETTER GO GET A NEW GALLON OF MILK!

its not plain white, but pretty close to it. but the older it gets, it sstarts turning yellowish and little bumpy things stuarts flowting in it, and it smells hooorrrrriiiiblllleeee... but worse if you tast it (and you do NOt want to tast it... last time i actually drank some spoiled milk, i refused to drink milk for more then a month)
