Well, speaking as a woman with a chest tattoo....If that's what you want, go for it. It does hurt (all tattoos do), but how badly it hurts depends on your pain threshhold and if that area is especially sensistive for you. For me personally it wasn't too bad (tat is on the center of my chest, just below the clavicle). The vibration of the tattoo gun felt strange, but the pain was tolerable. If the pain is worse for you, you can always have the tattoo done over the course of a few sittings.

My father is a tattoo artist and I have learned one thing the most. Think long and hard about what you want. Do not get something just because other people say it looks cool. As far as a style I would recommend something small depending on breast size..You want to wear your tattoo not have it wear you. Always get something to accent what your body already has. And follow your heart and imagination. You will know when you have found the right one..Take your time you have to live with it forever!!

Go to http://www.bmezine.com/ there's some great designs on there.
If i was getting a tattoo on my chest i'd want to keep it simple so that it didn't clash with anything and so i could still wear necklaces without my chest looking too cluttered.

Where are you planning on getting it done? do you have a regular tattooist you go to?

Tattoos are an individual thing and if you think that the Chess design would be something you'd like to have then go ahead....

Below is a website that has various chess designs and you might like something on their rather than a traditional chess piece....

Remember to think about where you want it to be on your body and that it'll be their for life unless you decide later on to have it removed....

I think personally they look nice but it all depends on the location and the design itself....

No I've not had one done on myself and often think about it but at my age feel it's far too late.... My hubby has one and I like it, his is a cute little devil, he's had his for over 20 years now....

Other alternatives is to have fake ones, you can get people to spray them on you and they last about 6-8 weeks or you can use henna by going to an asian shop and buying it or asking them where abouts you can get one done.... Especially on your feet or hands they look beautiful.... I often do it on my daughter in the summer as she loves it, it lasts for several weeks....

Whatever you decide like I said is a personal choice.

Good luck

Depends on what kind of tattoos you like! I have a dolphin tattoo on my left breast.
