No, heat does nothing to remove chlorine. Lets say it did tho, you would then have to wait a long time for the water temp to come down before you put fish in it.

Just get a water conditioner that removes chlorine and chloramines and neutralizes heavy metals. I use jungle brand Start Right. It works instantly.

For the people that let the water sit out, Towns are now adding chloramines to the water wich dont dissapate like chlorine does so your wasting your time and harming your fish.

sure chlorine has a low evaporation point. You have to boil the water 20 min per gallon then let it set at room temperature until the water reaches about 75 degrees. If you try to speed the cooling it can condense the chlorine back into the water- the actual process start to end for a gallon is a few hours (for me anyways) which is really not feasable I have started leaving a 5 gallon bucket of water sitting over night and it accomplishes the same feat with less work. chloramines and chorines both have low evaporation points in which a room temp of 65 will evaporate both chemicals in about 12 hours the natural state of these chemicals is gasseous and they release their bonds with water over a 12 hour period if exposed to nitrogen and oxygen gasses

Oh dear, that seems like an awful lot of work. Chlorine will evaporate from water when you leave it standing - I like to leave my aquarium water out for 24 hrs before I add it to my tank. There are water additives that many people use to get rid of tap water nasties, like Stress Coat - fairly inexpensive, and will remove what's toxic for your fish IME.

I just wanted to say thanks to lady_crotalus for nailing that on the head. So many people think leaving tap water sit overnight will get rid of chlorine, but they fail to realize that most cities are now adding chloramine to the water.

I have done this with success. I used it to hatch triops and fairy shrimp and it worked. Of course Distilled water is the best.
