there are a spread of "combining crew" cartoons / classes ... the single you're asking about is Voltron. ... there have been even distinct variations of it. the unique one with the further animal-like lions, and yet another with extra mechanical-form lions. no doubt you'll be able to locate the completed sequence on DVD by now.
