Hmmmm. Don’t know how to answer as i m still a virgin...being a medical student i can help u on this to some extent.....

You can only get pregnant if you have sex during the time you are ovulating (the time when your body realizes an egg). Ovulation generally takes place 14 days prior to your periods. If your cycle is 28 days, ovulation would occur exactly in the middle of the cycle (a cycle begins on the first day of your menstruation to the first day of your next menstruation). Since ovulation and menstruation do not take place at the same time, it is very unlikely that you can get pregnant if you have sex during your period.

Some doctors suggest having sex while a woman is on her period because it makes her uterus contract and, therefore, helps expel menstrual fluid thus decreasing the chances of infection. On the other hand, I've heard that sex while on your period can increase the risk for endometriosis because it may push menstrual fluid back up into the uterus. So, there's sort of mixed feelings on the subject. I would say, though, if you're both comfortable doing it, it shouldn't be a major problem. I know many people get disgusted at the thought of sex while the woman is menstruating, but that doesn't mean it's some huge forbidden act.

Also, the claim that sex during your period causes AIDS is bogus - the only way you'll contract AIDS is if you interact sexually with someone who has it, or you are exposed to other bodily fluids from an infected individual.
some say its disgusting coz it messes up.....all u need to follow is cleanliness...i read that it relives cramps and having sex during period prevents uterine cancer to some extent....

as long as u and ur guy has no prob u can go for it.....good luck if u gonna try that out....always be on a safer siade when it comes to health....

It works fine, and doesn't cause any harm, but is really messy and the boy may find it a bit off-putting. Also the girl is unlikely to want to have sex during her period.

You can have sex during a period, it is just a bit messy. my gf loves it because she says it feels better and stops her cramps.

You can move a period by taking the pill, but i wouldn;t do that as no one seems to know what effects the chemicals have on the body in the long term.

You can have sex during your period... but you better bring a towel. It's really messy, and usually it doesn't feel too good for the woman.
