do you have a salvation army in your area? if you do call them and tell them you need all the places that help people with christmas for your family. salvation army is one place that will help. there are churches that do this for people for the holidays .the christian radio stations will also help as well. do you and your children go to church? if you do then i would go to the pastor and tell him your situation and im sure he would help as well. there are many programs out there for families. they have shop with a cop and big brothers and sisters. you could even ask the law enforcement because they raise money for families as well. the post office would probably know of places as well.

besides the Salvation Army and Churches try the Marine Corps League and local welfare departments. if they can't help you directly they can tell you the right agency to contact.

I am a single mum of 2 aswell...............I plan ahead.........I put things on layaway throughout the year, I also pay money into a Xmas hamper fund, so we always have plenty of food for Xmas. You just have to be organised and prepared.

if indeed you need help go to a church that will help those in need.
I remember one Christmas we were so broke, we cut out pictures of what the children wanted and had our christmas at incime tax time, it was different, but worth it, we kept the tree up the whole time.
