ok, please don't think im wacky.

i cut my finger pretty bad yesterday with tin snips (blades strong enough to cut through stainless steel) my brother applied pressure and put it on ice to stop bleeding, it was a while before i was able to bandage it. it was ok overnight but now is hurting again, the gauze is stuck and am afraid it'll start bleeding again if i peel it off. should i go to a doctor? i don't have insurance and dont want to go un-necessarily.

You could get some sterile water or boil some tap water on the stove and let it cool and soak the bandage loose as it is probably dried blood that is causing it to stick.
It could probably use a good cleansing anyway but do not rub it.Gently clean it.
It is normally going to hurt. . second and third day can be worse than the first.
Go to the First Aid of your local Pharmacy and get some "Butterflies" and you can probably take care of this yourself unless you have cut an artery.
If you can not figure out how to apply the "Butterfly" ,ask the Pharmacist.
Use some antibiotic ointment/cream on a regular basis on a clean wound before applying "Butterfly". You might even want to wrap the finger after applying the "Butterfly".
Question is,are you up on your tetnus shots? This might be a concern.
Watch the wound for signs of infection.
Keep in mind that once you start to heal this on your own, that if indeed it could have used a stitch you may or may not end up with a Pretty scar. . only a stitch by a trained professional could make a scar look better.

I would go, because I cut my thumb once on broken glass from my compact mirror, i ran water over the cut and bandaged it (of course this cut doesn't sound as bad as yours) but it got infected and painful and i had to go to ER, so I would go. They have financial assistance programs and will let you pay a certain amount a month until you pay off your bill. I know an insurance company that is affordable and you can get your whole household covered for less than $60 a month I am covered and under me, my 3 sisters and 2 brothers, we have dental, vision, prescription, chiropractic includeded. My siblings do not reside with me but i got them covered. Check it out the site is http://www.everyonebenefits.com/40454965

I know I would go if I noticed that my finger started turning purple, or looking really infected, or something of the sort. Try to get the gauze off and just keep an eye out for pus or weird colors.

make beneficial the wound hasn't led to inner injuries first. in case you may dig out the bullet, sparkling the wound with peroxide then sew it closed with a sturdy sparkling fishing line or get your *** to a well being midsection.

take it off, if it is still bleeding you may have hit an artery and you HAVE to go to get it stopped, or if it may not stop.

If it is not bleeding, and it looks like a normal cut, then you don't have to go

You probably need stitches. If you don't go in, you could lose a finger. Elevate it as much as possible.
