i'll b visiting the u.s soon 2meet a few friends,&i've been told by some1 in the u.s,in some u.s state's they provide u.s state i.d's for visitors to the u.s.
does any one know which states provide this...?
+which states offer same day state i.d's....?

You can visit the Department of Motor Vehicles in any state to get a state issued ID.

However, you will be checked out very thouroughly before you get one. As a British citizen, you'll probably not get one - you'll need to rely on your passport and visa for identification.

I believe you have been misinformed. If you were living here for a long time, they may license you to drive, but that's it.

Your passport will be considered valid identification most places you go.
