I hate the whole thing! My children are in need. We live well below the bread line and I can't even afford to buy meat for mine, if I do it means they lose out on bread and cheese and things for that week. Where is our help? I'm made to feel guilty at school and everywhere I go because when they shake a tin under my nose and I don't put money in they look at me in disgust. Charity begins at home. Sorry, I've had my moan now, it's just something that gets up my nose.

I'd hardly call the enitre newsreading staff of BBC1 failed celebtrities. Every year they do a song like the time warp to raise money. Yes there are many not so famous people on the show, but every one is giving up their time for free and helping to raise money. Every penny donoted goes towards helping children and young people in the UK
Now "I'm a celebrity get me out of here" (and "celebrity Love Island") are really full of no hopers who are trying to get publicity, remember Jordon, Peter Andre and Tara Palmer Tompkinson and Calum Best .......exactly!
On the Children in Need night this year, people raised over £18 million. Don't see figures like being bandied about regarding Love Island do we.

I think it is really good, It raises a brillaint amount of money, and it is only on once a year!!
Our Sixth Form used to dress up for it, and collect money for the charity, and we would raise close to £18,000 altogether, it was a great laugh.
I love the cheesyness of it all, and so what if they don't do it for the kids, they are still raising money, and are helping a huge amount of people, and that is the important thing. It is only on one channel, is another 4 channels (at least) to watch.

It was a good idea when it started but now it's just really annoying! and why the hell can't they get different presenters other than terry wogan and fern cotton! Terry wogan just ain't funny any more and fern cotton is named after a plant, need I say any more? That's not to mention her terrible fashion sense! It used to be funny but now it's just sad. I didn't even watch it this year, it just doesn't interest me anymore, not that I ever gave any money to them anyway!

I don't hate the children in need, but i do hate all the talentless t***ts, hungry for a bit of attension asking us for money. if they cared that much theyd stop falling out of clubs drunk at three in the morning and get a job with barnados or something.

I don't like it, because it takes up the whole evening's schedule.
I also understand that it is not a very efficient way of giving to charity, because the administration costs are high. There is one tier of administration taking the initial money and distributing it, and the charities who recieve the money also have their own costs, that might include staff wages.
