First of all, we need to know something about King Charles the 1st and what it means to be a "good" king.

I read that Charles I ruled without Parliamentary support during the "Eleven Years Tyranny." This could be considered, "good," because the king was so strong and steadfast, but it was really tyrannical and bad for the people.

Charles I's legacy includes some positive recognition as a protector of the Church of England and is still celebrated by the "Society of King Charles the Martyr." Because he was a "defender of the Anglican faith," he could be considered a "good," King.

Probably the answers that are best could be derived from your text book, in class lectures, or assigned reading material. He didn't seem to be a very "good" King at all... He even lost the monarchy all together!
