We travel an average of 1,000 miles per hour at the equator. Because everything around us is traveling at the same speed, we do not perceive motion. The further north (or south) from the equator the slower you travel. At latitude 60 (mid Canada) you are traveling half as fast. Still, the relative motion of everything makes it seem like we are standing still. Just like when you are in a jet airplane.

Just a side note about gravity as some people mentioned: Gravity exists because of the mass of the earth, not because of spinning. If we were to stop spinning (which in reality we are slowing down gradually) the sun would appear stationary in the sky. Planet Mercury has a day that lasts much longer than one of our years. It's rotation and orbit almost always keeps the same side towards the sun. Imagine waiting a day on Mercury.
