I have noticed this as well and I just dont understand it. I always try to keep my word. I think some people just dont have enough pride in themselves to care. Its a shame since you are judged by your actions and word. Once you have broken someones trust its hard to get that back. We all make mistakes but its the ones that dont learn from those that arent worth our time.

I don't know about everyone else but I certainly keep my promises.
All of the boys I've dated in the past, I've made them promise no matter what we'll be friends. We still are.
Now I'm dating my best friend. Everything's going great :)
I've also kept promises to friends, ie guys they like, problems at home. That type of stuff.
I think a promise is something important and should be treated with respect.

I feel sad for the fact that people break them real easy also. But I don't make a promise unless I know I can keep it. Always been that way and intend to stay that way. My kids and grandkids know this and they really understand it also. They know in their hearts that when I make a promise I keep it and its there.

Of course a promise still means something....But only if the person making the promise, keeps it. Yes, it's that simple, that's what makes it so difficult to do...

Depends on the quality of the person making the promise.
