An Egyptian drawing of a condom being worn has been found to be 3,000 years old. It is unknown, however, if the Egyptian pictured wearing the device intended to use it for contraception, or for ritual purposes.
In 16th century Italy, Gabrielle Fallopius authored the first-known published description of condom use for disease prevention. He recommended soaking cloth sheaths in a chemical solution and allowing them to dry prior to use.
The oldest condoms found (rather than just pictures or descriptions) are from 1640, discovered in Dudley Castle in England. They were made of animal intestine, and it is believed they were used for STD prevention

The first condom was made of Zebra intestine about 7000 years ago in Iran.
The history said that a beautiful girl was forced to marry an ugly man.
There was a rule in the society that if a woman can not give a birth;
...barren, vain....then husband must let her leave.
In Iran "Persia" the hunt of Zebra was very popular between men. So once he hunts a Zebra; the woman cuts part of is intestine and used it a condom for herself, in such that the man did not discovered her trick and let her go.
So the first condom was made for women, not men!

according to the poet and cynic Plato, they used sheep's gut. They didn't bother to say where they used the sheep first or not.
Sort of like the old story about the
New Zealander visiting Australia and finds an Ausie having his way with a ewe behind the barn.
Says the Kewi--Hey mate in New Zealand we shear them sheeps.
Says theAussie--Go get your own mate, I ain't sharing this one with anybody.

they probably didnt have any because back then, people had a lot of children thinking that there is about a 40% chance of them dying. also, women were ashamed of being underaged and pregnant, so they didnt want to get pregnant.
