They are on their way to becoming obselete, especially with the introduction of MP3 players.
There is nothing wrong with cassettes, in that they are easier to handle than CD's. But there is an amount of hiss, which once you try digital formats, will be unacceptable.
As for not being in to new technology, you seem able to work your PC fairly well.
You can get an MP3 player for about £20 these days. Give it a go, you might be pleasantly surprised.

Not that I'm aware of. You can get a pack of 4 blank ones in the pound shop! Check out Charity shops for real ones though, they have all sorts in the ones around here.

U can still find them in music exchange stores but dude, the experience is so limited. get a cheap mp3 player from argos or curries. wont need to wast ur battery jus rewinding etc. u know?

but did you know that cassettes are older than 8 tracks?

there are always plenty in our local charity shops & they're cheaper than cds. if you dont want the latest releases you'll probably find something to you liking.....or you could get friends to record their cds onto tape for you
