I prefer the philosophy of George S. Patton.
"Now I want you to remember that no bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country."

Of course.
I'm Turkish. And maybe you know, lots of countries wanted to take here. And this country was founded with brave people who died in peace for their country.
Now, if something like that happens again, and if I don't die, all the things will be futile. All died Turkish soldiers, women, children. And most important, reforms of Atatürk.All the fight.
I can't allow this. So, of course I would die.

People on here that are saying no are very selfish.... Especially since there are young men and women currently in the armed forces today that are losing their lives for everyone in this country... And Yes I am a veteran, and I would still be in the Army if I didn't have my girls... But my husband is in the Army and has been deployed 3 times and will be going on his fourth come 2007.... He has been through alot, been shot at, targeted by an IED and killed several people during his deployment... ALL FOR THIS COUNTRY..... And still if the roles were switched, you wouldn't do it... That is so SELFISH!!!!!

Yes, I would. You owe your country an oath of allegiance and just for the record...there is ALWAYS a reason.
