i'm in high school and my class is in charge of putting on the winter ball. we're going to be buying xmas trees about 6 feet, then a big one, i was hoping around 12 maybe 10. would it be cheaper to buy real ones or fake ones? many stores like target are having sales so i don't know if i should buy them now, or wait and then the prices might go up. whats your input? thanks!

Real trees are always very expensive because they have of the manual labor that it takes to tie them up and take ship them before they die but you will more than likely never find a 10 to 12 ft. real tree. The tallest artificial trees that I have ever seen is 9 1/2 ft. which, if you are planning on decorating it, will be a pain to decorate. If you wait until too close to Christmas then you might miss out. I would suggest that you start calling around to stores, like Wal-Mart, Target, Home Depot, Lowes and explain what your class is wanting to do and see if they could possibly help you by hopefully discounting. Good luck.

That depends on if you want a real tree to express how you want Cristmas to be or are you trying to say that Cristmas is fake? I'm sorry, I have always believed in real trees, they smell better in your house and yes, they are a pain with the needles. But they stay in the vacuum for a while and you have that smell in your house every time you vacuum. But I think the cheapest way to go is real trees.

The prices are about even for taller trees, but then, with an artificial, you buy once

What is on sale now may go off of sale real quick. You can't procrastinate on these things, you have to be decisive.
