How do i start to track down a person with just a name?
I am trying to find a person who had business offices somewhere in the potteries area of the midlands in the 1960's (this is an area in the u.k. for those who dont know). there are no results from the name or business name on the internet. Where are records kept for registered busnesses? and would they go back to the 1960's.
I have no idea where this person is or even if they are still alive.
Any help would be most welcome.

Hi, Your local council have lists of businesses in the area. They may have information on companies present and past.

This may not help in the UK, but in the US, businesses are supposed to be registered with the town clerk, in the city or town hall. You might see if there are comparable people in the local that you think that the business was in.
