I have never looked into them so that's why i'm asking the public for their opinion. Do they both do the exact same things?

it depends. which one has more space to hold more songs? the one with more space you should get. Different mp3 players have different amounts of space.
1024 KB=1 MB
1024 MB= 1 GB

IPOD!!!!! Mp3 r soo Gay...and Old... IPODS r the best.
Trust me! they hold way more songs, have a screen, and r very delightful.

there is no difference at all. they both do the same thing. ipod just had a fancy name for it
