I,m not a fan of any of those teams either, and yes Notre Dame is always overated every year. Corso is an idiot and ESPN only talks about the teams that THEY want to win, no matter who the best team is in reality. Notre Dame almost always has a weak schedule, which makes me wonder, if they are so good, why don't they go undefeated more often.

First off, I'm a Michigan fan.
That being said I don't at all think Notre Dame and Michigan should play again.
I say this not because Michigan whooped them 47 - 21 in South Bend and I'm not in favor of rematches, but because Michigan whooped them 47 - 21 in South Bend and they don't have anything to prove to college football by playing/whooping them again.
Now, I do think Michigan has a lot to prove to OSU and college football by playing them again for the national championship ( on a neutral field ), no one, and I mean no one, played OSU as hard and close as Michigan did ( Illinois doesn't count ).
Notre Dame has probably the most storied college football program in the country, because in the 20's thru the late 40's they played and sometimes beat the powers in the game (Army, The Ivy League....). They played these games all over the country, at a time when most universities didn't travel very far to play teams, hence the conferences. This, and the fact that ND is a Catholic university, gave them unprecidented media coverage, which in those days was very much less subjective than it is today.
Although they didn't play Minnesota, or Michigan very much if at all ( yes, they were powers at that time ;Minn. NC 1934-35-36-40-41... UM - 1901-02-03-04-18-23-32-33-47 -48-97 ...ND will claim the1947 NC as theirs since they were voted NC at the end of the reg. season, but in an unprecidented "post bowl poll" UM was voted NC after they beat USC 49-0 in the Rose Bowl, a team that ND had previously beaten 38-7.)
Notre Dame fans are still mad that on Nov. 23, 1887 The University of Michigan Wolverines, on their way West to play the Harvard Club of Chicago, stopped by South Bend, IN. to teach the new game of football to a collection of students at Notre Dame and promptly beat them. And since have won the most games (860) in all of college football (all divisions) and have taken the biggest arguing point of all from ND fans, the winning % lead (.7460 to ND .7451 before last night's loss to USC)

That would be an insult to Michigan if they had to play Notre Dame again after blowing them out in South Bend earlier this year.
Lee Corso, like Brent Musberger, lives for the hype machine but doesn't really know what he's talking about.

Dave C ---
Let's see if I have this straight --
It is not OK for Michigan to play Notre Dame again because Michigan already beat Notre Dame.
But it is OK for Michigan to play Ohio State again because Ohio State beat Michigan. (and 4 of the last 5 years I might add)
So, I guess that because OSU beat UT, Texas should get another shot at Ohio State? And since OSU beat UT before beating UM, Texas should be Ohio State's next game(Jan 8)??
Just checking -

the clarification such various of people don't love Notre Dame is because they are rather a professional football crew. they are the absolutely college that brings in extra gross sales from football than they do from practise. they have their own television community. they gained't connect a convention because they don't favor to percentage their money and considering they don't desire all people else checking that they are not dishonest (they do cheat, examine "lower than the tarnished dome"). they are in it for the money, now to not earnings the students and alumni. Their stadium can carry each and every modern student and each and every alumni and nonetheless have room. maximum Notre Dame followers are catholics that under no circumstances went to varsity. also, they seem to imagine god is on their area. they have "landing jesus", and they act like in case you don't love them, you're a devil worshipper. they prefer to get faith out of football. Its okay to love football if you're a lady, yet on condition that you at the instantaneous are not a notre dame fan.

Notre Dame is overrated every single season just because they're Notre Dame. They're media sweethearts and that brings big bucks to bowl games. Simple as that.
