The childern have expressed interest in doing this and are inquiring about how other kids got into the business. I am willing to let them try it out because I want them to know that they are good enough and beautiful enough to reach for their star...if that's where they are headed.

Based upon experience, the easiest way to become involved in acting for the long term is to gain some experience through community theater acting. Community theater literally draws its talent from the community, usually paying nothing in cash, but providing invaluable experience in front of an audience and probably a camera recording the action. Often such contact leads to involvement in independent films by being exposed to other actors and directors.

After your children gain an onstage presence, overcome any major limitations such as shyness or an unwillingness to follow directions or attend rehearsals, then it's time to look for a local talent agent. There are usually several such agencies in any city with a population of over 500,000, and they are listed in the yellow pages. They all require a headshot and a resume. You'll probably meet many other actors involved in community theater who can recommend a reputable agent. Under no circumstances should you pay anthing to an agent to gain representation. If they ask for cash it's best to dash.

Ahhh... One of my favorite questions. I'm a child actor. And I suggest that you get an agent, some pictures. But you have to stay on top of the agent and make sure that there isn't any wrong doing going on. It would be best if you do alot of the research yourself, by that I mean looking for their jobs yourself. Because sometimes the agents can slack. Also don't pressure them to do it if the don't want to. If they want to stop then let them. This field is very demanding and it can be stressful. Don't try to live you dreams through your child.

well ive thought about doing modeling but ya never really did it cuz i did some searching on the Internet, ya not my cup of tea. but u have to have a lot of money and a kid that knos how to loose, u also have to be careful on which one u get into cuz well some modeling classes well they treat u like crap. i would join acting its much easier and well u cant really loose unless u dont get the part but im i acting right now and i kno how it is to be rejected. (trust me) but if u do want to join acting then u have to be a good memorizer as well and u might want to join singing to exercise ur diaphragm. and well if u kno how to sing and sing well ur more likly to get the part u want. cuz it shows that uve been in the acting and modling business. also if they r in highskool then say that they have been in various plays all through elementry and middle skool but u have to have the talent to back it up and if they ask u want the plays names were u better make some up. but if u have ne futher questions i could help u. good luck!!!!

Why do you want them to do it? Is it you're choice or theirs? I would wait until they have some say in the matter. It's not a lot of fun, and can fill kids with a massive sense of disappointment- like anything in the profession it is hugely competitive. And as for glamor.... I'm sure you have your children's interest at heart, and I wouldn't presume to tell you how to bring up your kids, but bringing the business my advice would be to WAIT XXX

if you get them into it when they are young they will mostliky stay and they will not be a scared but you can't make decision for your kids. Ask them if they want to join for the fun of it. But don't force them into it cause they may hate it.

well... maybe they are not interested in acting. You shouldnt force your kids to do something they really dont want to do. Perhaps, find something else besides acting/modeling they enjoy.

hope that helps
