Easy solution here man, make sure your video card is able to do this. Because the FX serious is old, if you really want the best detail and imagery, try getting an GX 6800, or even the 7 series.

Go to Control Panel -> display -> right tab all the way on top, it will have the option for 1 monitor or two. You select two, being dual monitors.

If this option is not available, it just means that your graphic card cannot support this feature.

maximum computers/laptops must have a VGA and a s-video cable, some have a DVI (digital video interface) that you will be able to get a dvi to hdmi cable for. HDMI connection on your computing gadget is correct-rated because this is going to also carry the audio down the cable on your television. (digitised in 2.a million and 5.a million digital) DVI is the subsequent proper, supplying you with a similar high quality, yet without audio, next is VGA, (maximum HDMI television's ought to have that enter ability) then s-video which doesnt provide a real HD image (in spite of the indisputable fact that if the determination says it does.) the image continually seems softer, and its harder to ascertain textual content. All new laptops and notebook's bought in the present day, must have a good away HDMI connection, if not, dont purchase it, it ought to nicely be accepted at this degree. i desire this helps.

your tv has to be a 1080i
just plug the vga port on your tv to your computer.
you may need a vga splitter to share between your tv and monitor.

however splitters are quite expensive, and hard to come by
