NO! Absolutely not. Duct tape can conduct electricity. In fact, some types of duct tape are very good electrical conductors. Using duct tape for electrical tape is a recipe for disaster.
3M / Scotch makes a line of excellent electrical tape products. Scotch Super 33+ Vinyl is the de facto standard "black tape."

lol with the many uses i would think so but my answer is no its cannot be used like electrical tape and why uh i have no idea but i figure i better tell you something safer than not. Be careful with the wires buzz.

not usually since electrical tape is made to insulate from a certain voltage...(up to 600 volts i believe_) duct tape is not rated for such

duct tap;e can be used for anything, they keep duct tape on the space staion no electrical tape they use it as all purpose goodness

Well it would all depend. Do you want whatever you are fixing to perhaps catch on fire, then yes, you could use it. If you want to be safe and not have to worry about electrical fires, then no, don't use it.
